Redshirt senior Riley Farris of Fort Lewis College earned a spot on the second team of the Division II Conference Commissioners Association’s All-South Central Region Teams, which were announced Friday.

Voting was conducted by NCAA Division II members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Joining Farris on the second team were Alijah Comithier of UCCS, Brian Dawson of Regis and Matthew Ragsdale of Western Colorado. Laolu Oke of Metro State Denver and Joel Scott of Black Hills State represented the league on the first team.

Farris also was named to the All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference first team on March 2. He was one of six RMAC players recognized in the region.

Farris finished his final season at FLC as one of the most prolific scorers in the RMAC, averaging 19.1 points per game while shooting 51.3% from the field. The senior reached double-digit points on all but three occasions this year while putting up a season-high 31 points to open the season versus Eastern New Mexico. Farris also was the team's leading rebounder at 6.2 boards per game.

Farris has 2,073 career points, which ranks No. 1 in school history. He is in the top 10 in several categories including first in career field goals (742), sixth in career blocked shots (107), and ninth in career rebounds (609). His 670 points in the 2020-21 season ranks third all-time in a single season.

The honor is the second All-South Central Region nod for Farris. He also earned second team accolades in the 2019-20 season. Because disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Division II Conference Commissioners Association did not recognize an All-Region team last season.
