FBI searching for man suspected of kidnapping 13-year-old girl

Suspect last seen in Kirtland, N.M., driving a dark-colored truck

FARMINGTON – Law enforcement is searching for a man suspected of abducting a 13-year-old girl from Kirtland, New Mexico.

The girl was found alive about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at a trading post in Arizona. But authorities are searching for the man suspected of kidnapping her.

He is described as Native American, in his 30s or 40s, 6 feet tall, with short brown hair and no facial hair, according to a news release from the FBI.

The suspect might be driving a dark colored truck with four doors, a bed cover, silver rims and a “4x4” emblem.

The suspect was last seen in Kirtland, where he allegedly kidnapped the girl at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

“Law enforcement is actively searching for this suspect, but we need the public’s help to bring this perpetrator to justice,” said Raul Bujanda, special agent in charge with the Albuquerque FBI Division.
