Durango artist Christopher Warren shows off one of his two sculptures on display at the Durango Welcome Center on Dec. 21. The art was created using a laser cutter on individual sheets of mat board then gluing them together, depicting a topographic effect of the Animas River and surrounding areas. A QR code is with each one giving viewers a landmark guide and more information. The sculptures were made possible by a grant from the city of Durango’s Lodger Tax: Arts and Cultures Fund and support from the Makers Lab. (Jerry McBride/Durango Herald)
