Savannah and Trent Porter, left, were heading home to Denver after visiting family in Mancos when about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, they saw the driver of a Ford pickup go off the road and into a ditch on the south side of U.S. Highway 160 just west of County Road 225A. The couple called 911 and waited with one of the occupants of the vehicle until helped arrived. “It looks like you tied down that horse real good,” Savannah told the man, who was transporting a horse sculpture at the time of the accident.
