Ska announces anniversary party COVID-19 safety policy

Event requires proof of vaccination or negative test

Ska Brewing’s 25th-26th Anniversary Party is coming up fast, and if you were lucky enough to get a ticket, here’s what you need to know about the event’s COVID-19 safety policy:

The party, to be held starting at 4 p.m. Sept. 4 at Ska Brewing World Headquarters, 225 Girard St., is requiring either proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of entry for all attendees, Ska announced Thursday in a news release, adding that a refund will be issued up until Wednesday for those who cannot comply with the new health screening policy. All refund requests may be emailed to info@skabrewing.com.

For those with proof of vaccination, an original, official COVID-19 vaccination certificate or photo of an original, official COVID-19 vaccination certificate (cellphone photos or myColorado app vaccination records are acceptable – all text must be legible), required, the news release said, and the name on the vaccination record must match the name on the ID of the attendee.

Fully vaccinated means you are two weeks removed from your second dose of Moderna or Pfizer, or two weeks removed from your single dose of Johnson & Johnson. So, to be considered fully vaccinated by the party, you must have had your second shot of Moderna or Pfizer, or single Johnson & Johnson shot by Aug. 21.

If you’re going the negative test route, here’s what’s acceptable:

  • You must have a valid original negative COVID-19 test (time-stamped within two days before event check-in). Self-administered tests will not be accepted.
  • The name on the test result must match the name on the ID of the attendee.
  • Your test must be time-stamped Sept. 2, Sept. 3 or Sept. 4.
  • Tests results before Sept. 2 are not acceptable.

This is a 21-and-older event, so have your ID ready – and be sure to leave your pets at home.
