The Four Corners Monument, the only place in the U.S. where four states all share a common border, is a popular tourist destination. Nevertheless, it is on many lists of the most overrated U.S. tourist attractions. Its isolation, lack of nearby attractions, lack of cell and internet service as well as unappealing scenery earns it low marks with some travelers. The concrete slab marking the exact point is said to be off by about 1,800 feet. However, the U.S. government has accepted the present location of the marker as legally binding.
