Timmy Plehinger and the Bobcats broke out an unconventional offense in Paonia last week. It didn’t result in a win, as the two-time defending Class 1A state champions rolled to a 49-0 win. Now IHS (0-2) will travel to Class 2A Pagosa Springs trying to break a six-game losing streak dating back to last year. The Pirates have lost their first two games this season to Class 1A Centauti (19-12) and Class 3A Delta (48-13). IHS head coach Alfonso “Ponch” Garcia could not be reached for comment.
