College football continues on and the games mean more than ever right now. Teams are jockeying for positions in conference standings and in the College Football Playoff with a few weeks to go in the regular season.
One of those teams battling for position in conference standings and the College Football Playoff is Colorado. The Buffaloes are 7-2 overall and have a shot at the College Football Playoff if they win out. But a frisky Utah team stands in their way this weekend. Here’s a look at what matchups Colorado Division I college football teams have this weekend:

Records: Wyoming is 2-7 overall and 2-3 in the Mountain West Conference after a 49-45 win at New Mexico on Nov. 2. Colorado State is 6-3 overall and 4-0 in the Mountain West Conference after its 38-21 win at Nevada on Nov. 2.
Line: Colorado State is a 9.5-point favorite.
Notes: Colorado State has won four consecutive games while Wyoming has lost three of its last four games. Both team’s quarterbacks don’t have a great touchdown/interception ratio. Wyoming’s Evan Svoboda had four touchdown passes and seven interceptions before he was benched. New starter Kaden Anderson has five touchdowns and three interceptions. Colorado State’s Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi has seven touchdown passes and five interceptions
The Cowboys allowed 412 yards of rushing and five rushing touchdowns against New Mexico. Anderson had 342 yards passing, three touchdowns and an interception against New Mexico. Running back Harrison Waylee had 170 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Wide receiver Jaylen Sargent had six catches for 186 yards and a touchdown for the Cowboys.
Colorado State won against Nevada despite being outgained 441 yards to 327 yards. Running back Avery Morrow had 77 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Records: Utah is 4-5 overall and 1-5 in the Big 12 Conference after its 22-21 loss against No. 9 BYU last Saturday. Colorado is 7-2 overall and 5-1 in the Big 12 Conference after its 41-27 win at Texas Tech last Saturday.
Line: Colorado is between a 10.5 and 11.5-point favorite depending on the sportsbook.
Notes: Colorado has its highest ranking in the AP Top 25 since 2016. Utah was ranked No. 12 in the preseason AP Top 25 and got as high as 10 before dropping out of the rankings for good in week eight. Utah has won the last seven meetings against Colorado.
Utah has had three different players lead the Utes in passing for a game this season. Seventh-year quarterback Cam Rising started the season but had season-ending ankle surgery last week. Freshman quarterback Isaac Wilson started five games before getting benched for Brandon Rose, who had a season-ending injury against BYU last week. Wilson will get the start against Colorado.
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders completed 30 of his 43 passes for 291 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a rushing score. Wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter had nine receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown. Hunter is the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.

Records: Oregon State is 4-5 overall after a 24-13 loss against San José State last Saturday. Air Force is 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the Mountain West Conference after its 36-28 win against Fresno State last Saturday.
Line: Oregon State is a 3.5-point favorite.
Notes: Oregon State has lost its last four games. Last weekend against San José State, Beavers quarterback Ben Gulbranson threw for 292 yards and two interceptions. San José State quarterback Walker Eget threw for 395 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Beavers.
Air Force snapped a seven-game losing streak with its win against Fresno State last Saturday. The Falcons rushed for 344 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Records: Northern Arizona is 6-4 overall and 4-2 in the Big Sky Conference after its 31-19 win at Cal Poly last Saturday. Northern Colorado is 1-9 overall and 1-5 in the Big Sky after its 43-15 loss against Eastern Washington last Saturday.

Notes: Northern Colorado quarterback Peter Costelli threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears’ loss to Eastern Washington. Eastern Washington had 339 yards rushing and two rushing touchdowns in its win.
Northern Arizona quarterback Ty Pennington had 184 yards passing and a passing touchdown in the Lumberjacks’ win against Cal Poly. Northern Arizona had 293 yards and three touchdowns on the ground in the win.
