New parking rules set for Vallecito ski trails
Public parking at Vallecito Reservoir, where skiers access the Vallecito Nordic Ski Club ski trails, will be restricted to the west side of Forest Road 603 beginning Friday.
Vehicles parked on both sides of the road have been blocking the snowplow and have created a safety issue by potentially blocking emergency access to the area.
The public will continue to be able to use the road to access the ski trails, but the east side of the road will be posted with no parkingsigns.
Skiers will be able to turn around and park on the west side of the road in a manner that will not block the flow of traffic.
For more information, call 884-2512.
