Bluebird boxes on sale at wildlife center

The bluebirds are returning, and the Division of Colorado Parks and Wildlife volunteer group now is selling cedar bluebird boxes for $25 at the division’s service center, located at the fish hatchery near 15th Street and Main Avenue.

Donations help the volunteers maintain the division’s Wildlife Visitor Center.

Native Plant Society to meet April 12

The San Juan Chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Mexico will meet at 7 p.m. April 12 in the Suns Room at the San Juan College Student Center in Farmington.

Speaker Al Schneider will present a photo show and talk about plants of Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.

Ignacio man joins Angus Association

Monty Cundiff of Ignacio is a new member of the American Angus Association, a national breed organization with headquarters in Saint Joseph, Mo.

With nearly 30,000 active adult and junior members, the American Angus Association is the largest beef breed association in the world. Its computerized records include detailed information about nearly 19 million registered Angus.
