Seniors Outdoors! will host these programs:

Saturday Snowshoe with John Martin will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday. For destination and more information, call Martin at 247-2581 or email martin@mydurango.net.

The weekly downhill skiing groups will meet Monday, Wednesday and Feb. 8 at Durango Mountain Resort. For more information, call Bruce Rodman at 385-7899 or Jim Shadid at 884-4612.

Wednesday Wanderers will hike along the Animas River Trail at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. For more information, call Eric Pahlke at 247-1130.

A backcountry ski trip into McMillan Bowl will take place at 8 a.m. Thursday. This will include intermediate terrain above Red Mountain Pass above St. Paul Lodge. For more information, call Darrell Maddox at (303) 1775-3208 or email damadaddox@elskies.com.

Skate ski clinic to be held Sunday

The Nordic Center at Purgatory will hold a skate ski clinic at 1 p.m. Sunday.

There will be classes for skiers of all ability levels. The cost of the clinic is $15 for Nordic season pass holders or $25 for other skiers. Rental equipment is available at the Nordic Center.
