When will the world wake up to Assad?

I’m sure that President Barack Obama was saddened and disappointed that not even England would support a limited action against Bashar Assad of Syria for using chemical weapons, the use of which has been deplored if not made illegal by most of the Free World. So were many of us.

We are now the “last man standing.” I think that it would be quite unwise for the United States to enter this fray unsupported. When the rest of the world wakes up, they can give us a call, or not.

Assad, of course, will only be emboldened. When he crushes the local revolt, he may decide to expand the battle toward his neighbors. That should wake them up.
