All but 20 of 208 La Plata Electric Association customers in the Cascade Creek/Mill Creek area north of Purgatory who lost power about 3:10 p.m, Tuesday had lights again at 3:55 p.m.
LPEA crews were walking the mountainous, wooded area to find the cause of the remaining outages.
The overall cause of the outage was not immediately discovered.
Lightning strikes is a possible cause, given that storm cells were moving through the area, according to LPEA spokeswoman Indiana Reed.
