Durango gasoline prices continue to fall – with no bottom in sight.
Regular gas dropped 22 cents in the past week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. Gasoline is now averaging $2.59 for regular in Durango.
Only a month ago, gas was over $3 per gallon.
The dramatic decline in gas prices has been driven by the falling value of crude oil. Remember $100 per barrel oil? West Texas Intermediate crude was trading for $56.39 per barrel Monday morning.
A year ago, gasoline cost $3.27 per gallon in Durango, or 68 cents higher than on Monday.
