About 10:30 p.m., the Durango Fire Protection District began responding to a report of an attic fire in Crestview.
“It’s a two-story wooden house, and all the occupants are out,” DFPD Chief Dan Noonan said at the time. “We have two engines and a ladder truck, along with a medic crew on scene.”
The fire was reported under control 10:55 p.m. Crews are still checking to make sure fire is out, and they plan to remain on scene for a while longer.
An investigator has been requested to investigate the cause.
