V.A. insurance for Congress and staff?

A special “thank you” to J.D. Browning (Herald, Jan. 23) for his informative letter about H.R. 307 sponsored by Rep. Davidson, R-Ohio.

It seems as the Republicans in Congress are in a rush to get their health insurance coverage, they are writing legislation to get their insurance through the Veterans Administration.

No, they won’t actually stand in line for medical care and they won’t wait months to have surgery. They won’t die waiting to see a doctor. They are just going to get their insurance funded by the V.A.

Now we all know the V.A. is always asking for more money, so for members of Congress to get their insurance with V.A. dollars, it might just be harmful to our Veterans.

Shame on the GOP in Congress. What say you, Rep. Tipton? Thanks again J.D. Browning. I’m glad someone is watching the swamp.
