Ready-to-eat bowls for Oktoberfest

Ryan Lowe, center, owner and executive chef of the Ore House, along with Ryan Mass, bartender, carve 200 pumpkins that will be roasted by Homeslice Pizza and filled with squash soup to be served at Oktoberfest. Local First and the Durango Farmers Market have paired local farmers with local chefs to produce an assortment of menu items, including 700 bratwursts, 600 chicken enchiladas, apple strudel and pumpkins bars for dessert. Oktoberfest will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Buckley Park. Tickets are $5. Durango Double participants and children younger than 12 are free.
