ColoradoCare answers readily available

With respect to Leah Kartokin’s letter (Herald, Aug. 28) concerning her questions about ColoradoCare at the county fair: I apologize that we were not able to answer all her questions; it is simply not possible to have volunteers at the fair who can answer every question, especially ones about a situation as complex as Ms. Kartokin described.

However, there are ways to get answers to just about any question about ColoradoCare.

The ColoradoCare website (www.coloradocare.org) has a great deal of information.

You can also email ColoradoCare (info@coloradocare.org) with questions and those will be answered.

Finally, there is a call-in opportunity every Wednesday evening where you can discuss your questions with an expert. Call (302) 202-1110 between 7 and 7:45 p.m. and key in 941687 when prompted for the access code.

While you may have questions about ColoradoCare, there are not many questions about what will happen if Amendment 69 is voted down. We will get higher premiums, higher deductibles, higher co-payments, less selection and more people unable to afford healthcare.

And more people will die every year because they can’t afford to pay for treatment that could keep them alive. How can that possibly be better?
