Drivers can expect delays at one of the busiest intersections in town Tuesday as the Colorado Department of Transportation repairs a traffic signal at the junction of Camino del Rio and Main Avenue.
The signal was damaged Saturday evening by a large truck.
The repairs will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with traffic limited to one lane in each direction for most of that time.
Travelers could also encounter a complete closure periodically as heavy equipment is maneuvered in the intersection and a new mast arm for the traffic light is swung into place by a crane.
Motorists are asked to use caution while driving through the intersection and to watch for equipment, workers, flaggers and signage in the work zone.
