A woman was flown to Mercy Regional Medical Center with injuries after her car rolled over and went about 200 feet off the side of County Road 310 about 5:50 a.m. Monday.
Lindsay Box, communications specialist with the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, said the car landed on its roof, and the woman was transported by Flight for Life for medical treatment.
Box did not have any information about the extent of the woman’s injuries.
The Southern Ute Tribal Police led the response, and it is currently investigating, Box said.
Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor, she said.
According to a Facebook post from Los Pinos Fire Protection District, the woman was extracted using a low-angle rope system and flown to Mercy by Flight for Life.
Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis said the call to the CSP came in at 5:55 a.m., and the State Patrol assisted the Southern Ute Tribal Police, the lead agency handling the incident.
No information about the person who was flown to the hospital was known to the State Patrol. The State Patrol also had no details about the nature of the crash.
