Courtesy photo

Loudon Wainwright III is lauded as being the “most candid diarist since Bob Dylan to bring confessional poetry into song.” Besides being an award-winning musician, he is often best remembered for his role as Captain Calvin Spalding, the singing surgeon on “M*A*S*H.” He has also appeared on “Parks & Recreation.” Promoters promise that Wainwright’s son “Man & Dog” will be well-received by Durango concert-goers. Opening for Wainwright will be Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College.
