Bayfield residents looking to part ways with any old or unwanted items can do so during the town’s upcoming “Yard Sale Day,” and they can help fund a community event by signing up ahead of time.

The Yard Sale Day will be held June 1, starting at 8 a.m., according to the town of Bayfield’s Facebook page.

Bayfield Heritage Days, which honors area sheep ranchers and their flocks, is asking residents eager to participate to email their home or business address and details of their yard sale to bayfieldheritageday@gmail.com. Residents can also email that address for more information about the yard sale.

The deadline for residents to email their yard sale information is before 5 p.m. May 24, the Facebook post said.

The addresses will be posted on a map in different spots around town and online, and participating residents are asked to donate $5 to appear on the map.

All donations will go toward the 2024 Bayfield Heritage Day and Sheep Trailing community event, the Facebook post said.
