The Cardboard Derby will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Purgatory Resort. The annual winter event has participants sliding down the tubing hill in homemade sleds, made strictly out of cardboard and duct tape.

Each vessel will be judged on its proximity to the scoring zone, creativity of concept and design, and team enthusiasm. Prizes may be awarded for funniest vessel, largest vessel, loudest team, slowest vessel and others.
