Merely Players and Javon “Ja’Moon” Jones are presenting “A Slow Crawl Towards Heaven” at 7 p.m. Friday at Merely Underground, 789 Tech Center Drive. Tickets are $25 and flex tickets apply for this show.
A prequel to the regular season lineup, Jones will premiere his original dance theater piece. The production delves into the vibrant tapestry of Black diasporic ancestral traditions, sharing forgotten stories through dance, text and sound. Jones was at Merely Underground last summer presenting the beginnings of the full piece. This performance is a family friendly experience.
