Best bets this weekend include “A Christmas Carol” and “It’s A Wonderful Life.”

KSJE 90.9 FM and Theater Ensemble Arts will present Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday on KSJE.

The production is an adaptation by Brit C. Ward. A local cast will perform the classic tale of redemption and the spirit of Christmas. Ebenezer Scrooge, the elderly miser, is told by the ghost of his former business partner that he shall be visited by three spirits, and these spirits have a message for him: change his greedy ways or suffer an eternity in torment.

Run time is about 90 minutes.

Durango Dance will present “It’s a Wonderful Life” as drive-in movie event at 6 p.m. Saturday at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.

Attendees are asked to follow the current Level Red public health guidelines by having only one household per vehicle, not socializing outside unmasked between vehicles and not attending if positive for COVID-19, experiencing symptoms or in quarantine for any reason.
