As part of its 2018 Summer Reading Program, the Dolores Public Library will host an outdoor concert and film series, “Summer on the River,” featuring a lineup of local performers.

The hourlong performances, slated for 7:30 p.m. on alternating Wednesdays in June and July, will be followed up by a free screening of a family-friendly movie.

Green Table Food Truck of Mancos will be selling food.

Kicking off the performances on June 6 will be local music teacher Renita Conny and a group of student performers, followed by a screening of the 2005 film “School of Rock.”

Music will start at 7:30 p.m., and movies will start at 8:30 p.m.

June 6: Renita Conny and student performers; “School of Rock,” rated PG-13. June 20: Glenn Smith bluegrass performance; “Sing,” rated PG. July 11: Aloha Club ukulele performance; “Moana,” rated PG.July 25: Blue Canyon Jazz; “La La Land,” rated PG-13.Registered adults may also compete in “Library Bingo.” Participants who complete five book-related activities are eligible for a grand prize drawing for two Telluride Jazz Fest tickets, donated by the Friends of the Library. The winner will be announced at the final “Summer on the River” performance on July 25. Registration is required, and information is at Doloreslibrary.org or at the library front desk.
