Ten local nonprofits were selected to receive a $2,500 grant, along with the chance to share their missions with Durango Wine Experience attendees. The nonprofits will volunteer at the Durango Wine Event Walkabout on April 28 and at the Durango Wine Event Grand Tasting on April 29.
The selected nonprofits are: Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance, Archuleta Seniors, Manna, Durango Chamber of Commerce, La Plata Open Space Conservancy, Durango Creative District, Durango Arts Center, Dogster’s Spay & Neuter Program, BBBS of Southwest Colorado and Friends of Pine River Public Library.
The Durango Wine Experience in downtown Durango features a Friday night Walkabout at multiple locations and a Saturday afternoon Grand Tasting at the Smiley Building lawn. It also will feature educational seminars, wine dinners and unique tastings. There will be hundreds of wineries, regional artisan spirits and local craft beers represented.
