Library garden receives recognition

Durango Botanical Society’s Library Demonstration Garden will be featured in a nationally distributed pamphlet by the North American Rock Garden Society, The 11 Rock Gardens of Colorado.

The garden also will be among the 11 gardens that will be included in tours scheduled for the summer of 2016 and was featured in the society’s fall publication distributed to people visiting Colorado.

In May, the society will bring a nationally recognized crevice garden designer Kenton Seth to Durango to start the first new garden at the library. “The Crevice Garden Along the Trail” will lead from the Library Demonstration Garden to the new gardens on the north side of the library.
