Comments should be submitted by Sept. 30. Written comments can be submitted to Meadow Lift Project, Divide Ranger District, 13308 W. Highway 160, Del Norte, CO 81132. Comments can also be emailed to comments-rocky-mountain-rio-grande-divide@fs.fed.us or sent by fax to (719) 657-6035.

Closure is planned for West Dolores Road

The West Dolores Road (Forest Road 535) will be closed for about two weeks starting Sept. 6 just above the Navajo Lake trailhead to allow for landslide damage repair.

Access to the Kilpacker Basin trailhead and Forest Road 471 via Highway 145 north of Rico will not be affected. However, motorists will be unable to reach the Navajo Lake trailhead from this route. The closure will not affect access to the Navajo Lake Trail via the West Dolores Road southern route.

For more information, call the Dolores District Office at 882-7296.
