A winter discovery walk for kids 5 and older will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 17 at Chicken Creek cross-country ski area, located northwest of Mancos.

Kids who participate, accompanied by an adult, will have the opportunity to discover animal tracks, examine plants, enjoy the outdoors and receive official Junior Snow Ranger booklets and badges.

Snowshoes will be provided if needed.

The hike is limited to 20 people.
