La Plata County Direct Relief Fund applications due by Feb. 8

La Plata County Direct Relief Fund applications are due by 5 p.m. Monday.

The fund offers tiered grant funding to qualifying businesses such as restaurants, bars, movie theaters, gyms and catering businesses impacted by restrictions aimed to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Funding is available to qualifying businesses that can demonstrate at least 20% revenue loss in any given month since March 26, 2020.

The funding was made possible by the Colorado Legislature through Senate Bill 20B-001, which establishes tiered relief payment caps, based on sales or revenue from 2019.

Businesses with sales or revenue of up to $500,000 may be eligible for up to $3,500.Businesses with sales or revenue of $500,000 to $1 million may be eligible for up to $5,000.Businesses with sales or revenue of $1 million to $2.5 million may be eligible for up to $7,000.Qualifying businesses must submit the following documentation:

Verification of Colorado income tax account number or tax exempt number.Receipt from most recent payment of unemployment insurance payroll taxes.Proof of good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State.Form W-9Evidence of the number of full-time employeesProof of operations on or before March 26, 2020Evidence of annual receipts for the applicable yearEnglish and Spanish translations of the application are available at www.local-first.org/laplatarelief.
