Letters: Time to kill 32nd Street bridge project

Given the current economic situation and the uncertainty of the long-term impact of the coronavirus on our community, I believe it would be extremely irresponsible for city of Durango officials to commit to a $4-to-$5 million bridge over 32nd Street at this time.

There are certainly more important issues to worry about right now. Please move this project to the back burner or even better yet, scuttle it altogether.

Use this money instead to help finish the trail to Three Springs, which would benefit a lot more Durango residents than the ill-conceived bridge project.
