The first monthly Repair Café Ignacio will be from 6 to 8 p.m. July 6 at the Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave., and will be held the first Thursday of every month.

Organized by the Ignacio Community Library, various volunteer repair experts will be available to help make all possible repairs free of charge. Tools and materials will also be on hand. People are welcome to bring their broken items from home, such as toasters, lamps, hair dryers, clothes, bikes, toys, crockery or anything that is broken. The Repair Café specialists can likely repair anything.

By promoting repairs, Repair Café Ignacio wants to help reduce mountains of waste.
