Cambria Wright, a student at Bayfield Early Education Program, is being screening by Bayfield Lion Ken Gaherty for vision problems.
Members of the Bayfield Lions Club are screening local children for vision problems. This fall, the Bayfield Lions have screened almost 400 children in Ignacio, Bayfield, Pagosa Springs and Durango. Eight Lions conducted the screenings in six different schools over 10 days.
The screening device was purchased with a grant from the LPEA Roundup Foundation for use by the Bayfield and Durango Lions clubs. Any pre-school or daycare facility that would like their students to be screened can call Sue Ann Gaherty at 884-2054.
