Senior Center offers computer class

A computer class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at La Plata Senior Center, 2424 Main Ave.

Instructor Jon Cordalis will explain and explore efficient techniques to using some of the new technology tools: email, research, entertainment, shopping, communication and more.

The cost is $15. To register and to pay in advance, call 382-6428.

Crafters’ Exchange to start in Bayfield

Pine River Library is debuting a new crafting program, The Crafters’ Exchange, that will occur on the first and third Thursdays of the month, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The first Exchange will take place on March 17. Attendees are invited to bring a craft design and enough supplies for 10 people to make the craft.

Friends of Pine River Library host renewals

The Friends of the Pine River Public Library will hold its annual membership renewal meeting at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pine River Library, Community Meeting Room, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, Bayfield.

Living wage group to hold potluck meeting

La Plata County Thrive! Living Wage Coalition will hold a potluck and meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Commons Building, 701 Camino del Rio, third floor.

The meeting is open to the public. Everyone is welcome to come and participate.

From 5:30 to 6 p.m., updates will be announced; from 6 to 6:30 p.m., a potluck dinner will be held; and from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., brainstorming, problem-solving and strategic planning will take place.
