Roadwork continues on U.S. 550/160

CDOT and contractor Concrete Works of Colorado will continue replacing damaged concrete pavement this week on the through lanes of U.S. Highway 550, south of the Continuous Flow Intersection.

The work will require one southbound lane to be closed – 24 hours a day – to allow for the concrete to strengthen. Crews will also finalize curb, striping, signage and median work associated with the project.

Travel impacts for Monday to Friday will include:

Northbound lane closures during daylight hours should be expected in Roosa Avenue. There will be no left turns from eastbound U.S. 160 onto Roosa Avenue.

Median and single-lane closures for through lanes in both directions west of the U.S. 550/160 intersection will take place. Eastbound lane closures can occur from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and again after 6:30 p.m. Westbound lane closures can occur anytime.

Limited lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and again after 6:30 p.m. will take place on U.S. Highway 550 (Camino del Rio) north of the U.S. 550/160 intersection.

Median and single-lane closures and two lane shifts are likely throughout the week both south and northbound on U.S. 550, south of the U.S. 550/160 intersection. Southbound travelers should expect 24-hour, single-lane closures for the majority of the week.
