Marijuana production to be discussed Feb. 8

Lu Nettleton of the Colorado Plateau Growers Association will present a workshop about the local production of marijuana at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Dolores Public Library, 1004 Railroad.

Several topics will be discussed including the difference between marijuana and hemp, GMO/patented seed vs. organic seed, farmers’ rights vs. monopoly rights and the potential for profit.

Ignacio Library announces programs

Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave., Ignacio, will offer these programs:

A watercolor workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Friday in February. The class will include a $10 materials fee. Sign-up is required.

A fly-tying workshop will take place at noon Feb. 8. The workshop will include a demonstration of some basic flies. Supplies will be provided but sign-up is required.

An eBook borrowing class will take place at 1 p.m. Feb. 13. Participants will learn how to checkout eBooks and digital content from the library. They should bring a tablet or phone.
