Local students graduate from Fort Lewis College

DURANGO - In a ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, more than 200 Fort Lewis College graduates and their families packed Whalen Gym for fall commencement. The speaker chosen to offer the commencement address was FLC chemistry professor Dr. Kenny Miller.

Those receiving their degrees included:

Abel Velasquez of Ignacio graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.

Courtney Webb of Ignacio graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology.

Laurel Baldwin of Bayfield graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in gender and women's studies.

Dustin Kimball of Bayfield graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in English.

Sarah Lipp of Bayfield graduated with a bachelor's degree in environmental studies .

Laurel McCormick of Bayfield graduated with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.

Mary Elisabeth McLaughlin of Bayfield graduated with a bachelor's degree in philosophy .

Leslie Reinmuth of Bayfield graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education .

Ashley Schwartz of Bayfield graduated with a bachelor's degree in English.
