The First United Methodist Church of Durango, 2917 Aspen Drive, offers a community-wide program with trained, caring and confidential volunteers to help people through life’s challenges.

People in Stephen Ministers offer support and can help direct people to other community services, if needed. There is no cost and church membership is not required.

Stephen Ministers is a ministry in more than 13,000 congregations from more than 170 Christian denominations in all 50 states, 10 Canadian provinces and 30 other countries. It was founded in 1975.
