Pueblo Community College Southwest kicked off the local graduation season on May 11 by awarding 123 degrees and certificates in a ceremony at Montezuma-Cortez High School.
The college’s president, Patty Erjavec, spoke to students about pursuing their passions.
“Remember that whatever discipline you are in, whether you are a health care provider or a photographer, a welder or a writer, a machinist, a teacher, or a chef, whatever you do, you have one thing that’s unique,” Erjavec said at the Saturday night ceremony, according to a statement released by the school. “You have the ability to make art – to paint your own canvas.”
