As part of the monthly “Fresh from the Theaters” program, a screening of the 2016 movie “Passengers” will be shown at 7 p.m. May 26 at Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive.
Starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, the film tells the story of a spaceship that transports thousands of passengers to a distant planet. A malfunction in the sleep-chamber system accidentally wakes two passengers 90 years too early and, faced with a lifetime together, the two have the safety of the other passengers in their hands.
The program is free and open to all.
