Calling all history buffs: The Pine River Valley Heritage Society will hold its annual meeting at 10 a.m. Jan. 20 at the Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, in Bayfield.

The all-volunteer, nonprofit organization aims to preserve and celebrate the history of Bayfield and its surrounding communities. Its work keeps the free museum open at the corner of Mill and Pearl streets from early June through late September, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The annual meeting will feature the election of a new slate of officers and a discussion of plans for new exhibits at the museum. Treats will be provided. This is a great way to get involved in the community – a worthy New Year’s resolution.
