Unitarians to explore the soul and poetry

Doreen Hunter will give a talk called “Poetry as Soul Work” at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango, 419 San Juan Drive.

Hunter will attempt to explain what is meant by “the soul” and explore the ways that poetry fosters experiences for people to access the soul’s way of knowing. The group will consider the wisdom of the brain’s right hemisphere and the place of musing, metaphor and mystery poetry.
