First, do no harm! The United States is bombing and destroying in the Middle East. That is wrong! We all have the instinctive desire to “fix” a bad situation, but bombing and destroying is not helping. Bombing and killing in the Middle East, with the stated goal of bringing peace to that region and security to our homeland, is like the ancient practice of poking a hot iron up the anus to bring relief from hemorrhoids. Good intentions are not enough.

Stop the violence! Would we want bombers to destroy the town of Durango to bring peace and prosperity to our region? Of course not. Our nation will be stronger and more prosperous if we stop killing other people and destroying their property.
