On Saturday, Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering parade participants, both human and animal, clomped, whinnied, hee-hawed, walked and rolled down Main Avenue. Judges, after careful consideration, have chosen winners of the featured categories.

The 29th annual parade winners include:

Most Impressive Horse Entry: Four Corners Back Country Horsemen.

Most Impressive Mule/Donkey Entry: Sharla and Barry Dyar.

Best Spirit of the Old West: Bayfield Belles.

Best Youth Entry: Forever Cowgirls and Juniper School Cowpokes (tie).

Best Family Entry: Bruce family (miniature horses and fire wagon).

Best Walking Entry: Ballet Folklorico de Durango.

Best Wagon: The Cowboy Church

Judges Choice Silver Spur Award: America’s Mustangs/Colorado Chapter of the National Mustang Association.
