Talk about town: Ska rolls out new beer for those looking to cut calories

Ska Brewing Co. recently released a new low calorie, low carb beer.

Looking to cut back on those calories, yet unable to give up the refreshing taste of an IPA brew? It looks like Ska Brewing Co. has you covered with a new low-calorie, low-carb beer.

Ska recently announced the new Aggrolite IPA, which is now available for sale at the brewery’s headquarters in Bodo Industrial Park, as well as at select distributors.

According to a news release, the Aggrolite is “light-bodied with slight citrus and pine notes,” but the real bragging rights come in the nutritional stats.

Ska says Aggrolite has only 99 calories and 4 grams of carbohydrates per can, with 4.2% alcohol by volume. Beer generally has about 150 calories and 12.5 grams of carbohydrates.

“Aggrolite pairs well with bike rides, boating and bikinis,” Ska said in a news release.
