4:42 a.m. A bear and cubs were blocking a path at Needham Elementary, 2425 West Third Ave.

Monday

1:07 p.m. A woman was stuck on the rocks in the Animas River behind the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.

1:13 p.m. A board with nails sticking out of it was in the middle of Roosa Avenue near U.S. Highway 160 and Roosa Avenue.

3:14 p.m. A drunken man was sleeping in flower beds at the Durango Transit Center, 250 W. Eighth St.

7:16 p.m. Someone drove a small pickup into a median and then onto the curb near Molas Drive and Red Mountain Drive.

8:56 p.m. A bear was in a tree in the 200 block of Valley View Circle. A second caller reported the bear was growling.

7:29 a.m. A gas leak was reported in the east 200 block of 14th Street.

Durango Fire & Rescue Authority responded to 13 calls Monday.
