Things to do in and around Durango
Live storytelling is back this weekend with Raven Narratives.

The Raven Narratives returns to DAC“The Raven Narratives” will bring its live storytelling event back to Durango on Saturday night at the Durango Arts Center.

Produced by Sarah Syverson and Tom Yoder, the theme this time around will be “Exposure.” Eight storytellers tell true stories that connect you to the heart and soul of our human experience.

Storytelling is as old as human beings, said Yoder.

“We’ve been constantly surprised at the reception,” he said. “People want to be entertained, and this has a real connected quality about it.”

The evenings include storytellers, who have between eight and 10 minutes to tell their tales. The evening also includes a chance for an audience member to come up and tell a story.

Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will start at 7:30.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door; $12 for seniors and students in advance, $17 at the door. Advance ticket sales end at 4 p.m. the day of the show.

Tickets for the Durango show are available online at www.sunflowertheatre.org

Early ticket purchase is recommended as all past events have sold out.

And if you can’t make the show, check out www.ravennarratives.org to catch podcast versions of some of the group’s storytellers.
