Vinyl album lovers, unite: Record swap to be held at VFW

On Saturday, record collectors who are still mourning the loss of Southwest Sound last spring can get together and perhaps fill the hole in their record collections.

Sponsored by the new Four Corners Vinyl Record Club, a record swap will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the VFW, 1550 Main Ave.

Philip Gallacher, founder of the Record Club, said that by forming the club and holding swaps, he’s finding a way to maintain the vinyl-loving community that lost its base when Southwest Sound closed. Plus, he said, buying used vinyl online can not only be a pain, it’s not that much fun.

“We can’t let it all go to the internet,” he said.

Admission is free, and there are still vendors spaces available.
