Periodontics office has new location

Mark Blue has moved his practice, Four Corners Periodontics, to 555 South Camino del Rio, Unit B1.

New broker joins Horizon Properties

Peggy Schumann has joined Horizon Properties of Durango as an associate broker and will team with Marlene Gebhardt, an established associate broker with the Durango firm.

Tutor joins Mumbling Marmot Tutoring

Julia Lehman has joined Mumbling Marmot Tutoring LLC, specializing in middle school and high school science (anatomy, chemistry and biology), reading, writing, literature, test taking and homework support.

Lehman has a master of physician assistant studies from the University of Iowa College of Medicine.

Mumbling Marmot provides private tutoring services in reading, writing and math from kindergarten to college; test preparation; learning differences; languages; economics; study skills; gifted/talented enrichment; and cognitive training. Owner Yvonna Graham started the service in 2005.

Montezuma resident receives recognition

Tom Maley, a Montezuma County business owner, has been named Economic Development Leader of the Year by the Region 9 Economic Development District (Region 9) board of directors.

Owner of Maley and Associates PC, Maley’s expertise includes accounting, insurance and real estate. He serves on the Montezuma Community Economic Development Association, was a football official for more than 15 years, served on the RE-1 school board and was instrumental in bringing girls softball to Cortez through the Optimist Club.

Maley was recognized at the Montezuma Community Economic Development Association membership meeting Oct. 16. The award honors individuals for their achievement and commitment as leaders in economic- and community-development efforts.
